Parenting Through Cancer: A Free Family Support Event

October 22 | 6:30–8:00 PM | Be Well Collective, Columbus, Ohio

Parenting while facing cancer brings unique emotional and communication challenges. This free Parenting Through Cancer event offers a supportive space for families to connect, learn, and heal together.

Parents will join Kim Flood, MS, CCLS, RWWP (Child Life Specialist)Melissa Ayotte, MA, LPAT, ATR-BC (Art Therapist), and Jennifer Yurkovich, MS, LPMT, MT-BC (Music Therapist) for meaningful discussions on communicating with children about cancer, building family resilience, and maintaining emotional connection during treatment.

While parents meet, children will have their own engaging art and music experiences designed to help them express feelings and feel supported.

This event welcomes all families in the Columbus, Ohio area who are navigating a cancer diagnosis and want tools to cope together with compassion and creativity.
